Leveraging our vision and material handling experience, Sightline designs and installs a variety of customized automation solutions for our manufacturing customers. These solutions all rely on Sightline’s vision system technology, which provides a technical advantage for most packaging automation projects.
Custom Vision Systems
With 225 installed systems (and counting) and an in-house engineering team, Sightline has the experience and capability to design a specific customized solution in a standard system to meet your inspection requirements. Customized designs, small mechanical footprints and special imaging techniques are all available, and additional conveyors before or after the system can be added to make the overall solution a perfect fit.
Laning Conveyor Systems
After products are fully inspected by Sightline’s inspection systems, and defective objects are rejected from the line, a Sightline Laning System can organize the random flow of good products into an organized, laned arrangement that is suitable for downstream packaging equipment. Laning systems can have anywhere from 1 to 10 lanes, and can be managed (i.e. equal counts in each lane) or unmanaged.
Robots provide maximize flexibility and versatility when dealing with random objects. Whether the objective is simple or complicated, robots have the speed and the mechanical ability to replace most repetitive material handling tasks being performed manually. Sightline’s vision system expertise provides a key advantage in robotics applications, since the same system used for inspection can be used to drive the robotic motion. This creates an overall solution that inspects, rejects and packs products all from a single supplier.
